Gua Sha is a traditional Chinese healing technique that involves scraping the skin with a smooth, flat tool to improve circulation and promote healing. It is commonly used to treat muscle and joint pain, as well as various respiratory and digestive issues. Some people also use it for its cosmetic benefits, such as reducing puffiness and improving the appearance of the skin. The procedure is typically performed by a trained practitioner, who applies gentle pressure to the skin using the tool, often a jade or rose quartz crystal.

Fire cupping is a form of alternative medicine in which a therapist places glass cups on the skin to create a vacuum. The cups are heated using a flame, and when placed on the skin, the heat causes the air inside the cup to cool, creating a vacuum or suction. This suction is believed to lift and loosen muscles and tissues, increase blood flow, and improve circulation.
Fire cupping is often used to treat muscle aches, stiffness, and pain, as well as respiratory conditions such as asthma and bronchitis. It is also believed to help with digestion, relaxation, and overall well-being.
While fire cupping is generally considered safe when performed by a trained and experienced therapist, it is important to follow proper precautions and techniques to avoid burns and other injuries. Some people may experience mild discomfort or skin irritation after the cups are removed, but this usually subsides quickly.
-
A Traditional Chinese Medicine technique that involves the burning of dried mugwort herb (Artemisia argyi) near or on the skin to stimulate the flow of qi (life energy) and promote healing. The heat from the burning herb is believed to stimulate acupuncture points or specific areas of the body to improve circulation and relieve pain. Moxibustion is commonly used in conjunction with acupuncture, but it can also be performed on its own. It is generally considered safe when performed by a trained practitioner, but it should not be used by pregnant women or on certain parts of the body.

BCBSTX, UHC, Cigna accepted and patient is responsible for PCP preauthorization if any.
Not accepting Humana Medicare plan, BCBSIL with preauthorization requirement. Verification could take 3 business days. Verification does not guarantee insurance payment for any insurance policy so we might request full prepayment as deposit.
